My Favorite Woodworking Things
Hi there! I'm putting together a list of my favorite woodworking things on this page. You'll notice a lot of sets in here, because I like to just get it and go and not think about what else I need to make it work.
Woodworking has lots of stuff, so I've split the other items into separate lists to make them easier to find:
- My Favorite Epoxy Things
- My Favorite Household Things & Snacks NEW!
- My Favorite Laser Engraving Things {coming soon}
- My Favorite Sublimation Things {coming soon}
I'm adding some reviews on some of the items, too, so I can keep it straight in my head. Some of the links below earn me a little extra play money.
Happy shopping!

Router Supplies
- Router Templates - Crafted Elements - these are my absolute favorites, as you'll notice I use them all the time
- Trim Router: DEWALT Router, Fixed Base, 1-1/4 HP, 7.7-Amp, Variable Speed Trigger, Corded - I like the corded version because I don't have to mess with batteries, and it's a little less top-heavy
- Double-sided tape: XFasten Double Sided Woodworking Tape 1 Inch
- Teflon coated scissors - these are a MUST, or your scissors will get all stuck on the double-sided tape.
- Portable Router Table: Rockler Trim Router Table - I started out with this one before installing the larger one with the table saw. I still use it for small jobs.
- Woodpecker Freehand Guard - if you haven't seen this in action, check out my Instagram Post on it. The one linked is the newer version that I can only believe is even better!
- DEWALT Plunge Base For Compact Router - this makes cutting inlays so simple!
Router & Drill Press Bits
- Whiteside Router Bits RFT2100 1/4-Inch Diameter Spiral Flush Trim Up Cut - this is the best for the template true up after bandsaw
- Router Inlay Bushing Kit for small inlays (like my Football laces) - Testing with the football laces; so easy!
- Whiteside Router Bits RU1600 Standard Spiral Bit with Up Cut Solid Carbide - this was a backup bit in case I broke the one in the bushing kit. I have good luck with Whiteside router bits, so wanted to makes sure I had it on hand.
- Whiteside Router Bits 2000C Round Over Bit with 1/8-Inch Radius, 3/4-Inch Large Diameter and 1/2-Inch Cutting Length
- Whiteside Router Bits 1372B Bowl and Tray Bit - 1/4-Inch Radius
- Freud Precision Shear Serrated Edge Forstner Drill Set
Glues
- Wood Glue for Charcuterie Boards: Titebond III - the III does ok getting wet, so it's great for food items.
- Smaller bottles that I refill with the jug
- CA Glue
- For just about everything: Starbond CA Glue + Accelerator Set (one of each thickness)
- Tinted CA Glue for "hiding" seam gaps: Starbond CA Glue Black and Brown + Accelerator Set
Sanding
- Micro Sander Kits - these have a easy-to-hold handle and multiple grits of small pieces of sandpaper
- Micro Sander Kit with 60 80 120 180 240 320 grits
- Micro Sander Kit with 320 to 5000 grits
- Sanding disks in higher grit for epoxy
- Face Masks - some of the dust is toxic, so a face mask is always a good idea, especially when sanding.
Finishing
- Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil & Wood Wax Set
- Cutting Board Oil single - my favorite finish!
- Wood Wax single
- Cutting Board Oil 32oz - I use this size to refill the smaller one
- Walrus Oil Furniture Oil - for non-food contact projects
Tools & Organization
- The indispensable PENCIL!!! This is the most overlooked tool in the wood shop, but oh so important!
- Milwaukee Keychain Tape Measure - this tape measure is perfect for just about every project I do, since they are under 6 feet. It fits in my apron pocket, so I always have it with me & don't need to search for it.
- WORKPRO Mini Metal Tool Box
- Criusia Drawer Organizer, 10 Pack Large Clear Plastic Kitchen Drawer Organizers Set
- Carpenter's Pencils Pack - the different colors are super helpful with different woods
- Milwaukee Markers - an alternative to the pencils
- Apron - this one is a great weight for most projects, even pouring epoxy
- Kynup Digital Caliper - this is great for measuring those details!
- Level - I like to take one of these small level wood shopping with me to make sure the wood I'm buying is as flat as possible, especially my beloved Jatoba that likes to twist.
- Small Cross-Check Level
- Milwaukee Mini Box Level
